<p class="MsoNormal">Watch for the opportune time, and beware of evil,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and do not be ashamed to be yourself.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For there is a shame that leads to sin,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and there is a shame that is glory and favour.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Do not show partiality, to your own harm,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>or deference, to your downfall.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Do not refrain from speaking at the proper moment,*</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and do not hide your wisdom.*</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For wisdom becomes known through speech,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and education through the words of the tongue.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Never speak against the truth,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>but be ashamed of your ignorance.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Do not be ashamed to confess your sins,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and do not try to stop the current of a river.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Do not subject yourself to a fool,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>or show partiality to a ruler.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fight to the death for truth,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and the Lord God will fight for you.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Do not be reckless in your speech,</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Do not let your hand be stretched out to receive</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and closed when it is time to give.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Do not rely on your wealth,</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Do not follow your inclination and strength</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>in pursuing the desires of your heart.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Do not say, ‘Who can have power over me?’</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>for the Lord will surely punish you.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Do not say, ‘I sinned, yet what has happened to me?’</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>for the Lord is slow to anger.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Do not be so confident of forgiveness*</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>that you add sin to sin.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Do not say, ‘His mercy is great,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>he will forgive* the multitude of my sins’,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">for both mercy and wrath are with him,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and his anger will rest on sinners.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Do not delay to turn back to the Lord,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and do not postpone it from day to day;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">for suddenly the wrath of the Lord will come upon you,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>and at the time of punishment you will perish.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind could blow on earth or sea or against any tree. I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to damage earth and sea, saying, ‘Do not damage the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have marked the servants* of our God with a seal on their foreheads.’</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem. And he sent messengers ahead of him. On their way they entered a village of the Samaritans to make ready for him; but they did not receive him, because his face was set towards Jerusalem. When his disciples James and John saw it, they said, ‘Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?’* But he turned and rebuked them. Then* they went on to another village.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>As they were going along the road, someone said to him, ‘I will follow you wherever you go.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.’ To another he said, ‘Follow me.’ But he said, ‘Lord, first let me go and bury my father.’ But Jesus* said to him, ‘Let the dead bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.’ Another said, ‘I will follow you, Lord; but let me first say farewell to those at my home.’ Jesus said to him, ‘No one who puts a hand to the plough and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.’</p>
